The Failure of a Teenager


Even as I enter the dark dungeon of education

I hold on to my blanket crying for mercy

But the inevitable comes and tears me apart

Apart my brain with words of mysterious codes

Oh, that gentle push – and there I go, down into the river…



2. A poem in response to “Daffodils”


I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud


I wandered lonely as a cloud

To a place where it was not loud.

There, a host of golden daffodils unfurled

When I was lost in my own world.


Daffodils shined as the stars,

dancing in the breeze,

but they didn’t remove my scars

and I was not at ease.

“A poet could not but be gay,

In such a jocund company” he say,

but this cannot put me at rest,

for I still feel oppressed, repressed, suppressed…
